Habitat for Humanity is a not for profit Christian housing
ministry helping those with lower incomes
become home owners in the Chelan area as well as all over the
country. Since 1976 Habitat for Humanity has built over 400,000
homes across the US in stable areas helping over 2 million people get back on
their feet with a home they can be proud of.
Using the help and donations of volunteers and local business owners along
with the sweat equity of the future homeowner themselves, Habitat for
Humanity offers high quality homes in decent neighborhoods with the
added bonus of knowing the homeowner has literally helped construct their own
home.
Families in need only must apply and meet certain requirements and guidelines
to be eligible for Habitat housing. These may include income restrictions, their
ability to help participate in the building of the home and their ability
to repay some or all of the loan in a given time. Each decision is based on a
case by case scenario.
This May 7th 2011 at the premier resort spot in Lake
Chelan, Campbells on the Lake is hosting a Habitat for
Humanity Dance and Silent Auction in their River Room from 6:30
- 10pm. Guests are welcome to attend for $10 for individuals and $18 for couples
and may dance the night away to the local legendary sounds of "WaterDog" and
their eclectic but easy going style.
Please come out in full support of this amazing benefit to so many in need of
decent housing the Chelan Valley. If you are interested please
contact 509-682-7088 for more information.
Not only do Habitat for Humanity volunteers offer amazing
deals on new homes but there are currently several homes in the Chelan real estate market
that are far below market value. If you would like to know more about homes in
the area, please contact us below, email or call at timflood@windermere.com or
509-682-4211. We look forward to speaking with you.
